Shade 13

Rich Coffee

Rich Coffee is the deeper of the two launch shades for Rock Colour Shampoo in Malaysia: a darker brown deposit for lightened hair that wants depth back without going near a dye.

Coffee is the other half of the launch pair: the same warm family as milk tea, taken darker. It is for lightened hair that has gone too pale or too thin-looking in tone and wants some weight back — a deep, warm brunette read rather than a flat block colour.

Who it is for

Bleached or heavily lightened hair that has cooled or thinned out in tone and wants richness back without another salon appointment. It suits warm brunette bases best; on cooler or ashier bases the deposit can read muddier than expected, so flag that to us before you commit.

How to use it

For gentle, ongoing depth, mix it into your regular shampoo and leave it 3–5 minutes. For a stronger first result right after bleaching — base level 7–10 — use it on its own for 10–20 minutes, then move to the mixed method to maintain the result.

What to expect

Because it is the deepest of the two launch shades, coffee shows up fastest on very light hair, and porous, over-processed lengths grab it more than mid-lengths do. Start with the shorter dwell time, look at it in daylight, then decide.

How to use

Lather on wet hair

  • Method 1 · mixed with shampoo — Leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse (Everyday colour maintenance)
  • Method 2 · colour play, used on its own — Leave for 10–20 minutes, then rinse (Bleached hair at base level 7–10)

Both methods are official. If the Malaysian packaging says a different time, follow the packaging.

Please note: This product is not a hair dye and does not cover grey hair.

Common questions

Can Rich Coffee darken my hair back down after a bleach?
It lays a dark brown tone over the surface, which reads as depth. It is not a hair dye, it is not permanent, and it does not cover grey hair.
Rich Coffee or Silky Milk Tea?
Milk tea is the warmer, lighter read; coffee is the deeper one. If your hair is very light and you want a noticeable step down in depth, coffee is the one; if you only want to hold the warmth you already have, milk tea is.
Do I need bleached hair for Rich Coffee to show up?
In practice, yes. The colour-play method (on its own, 10–20 minutes) is written for bleached hair at base level 7–10, and that is where a dark deposit reads clearly. On darker, unlightened hair there is little contrast for it to add.
